Will Tennyson Can’t Count #tempo 1…2…3…4
When I teach tempo days, no one holds proper tempo – the brain always speeds up under duress and will make you count quicker. I put a clock timer on of repeating 1 second beeps so everyone has to obey the beat. NOT MY TEMPO! Watch Will say 4 seconds down and then repeatedly only do 1.5seconds down. He’d get three warning and then get booted out of class to think about his performance.
