Senior Group Fitness | Fitness Over Forty
Current exercise guidelines promoted by the American Heart Association and the American College of Sports Medicine are more detailed than in previous years. Its recommended that older adults do strength training, balance exercises and stretching, in addition to aerobic exercise, like walking or biking. Thats a tall order, but there are classes that simplify the task, and many are geared for those over age 50. Dr. David Di Paolo talks about senior group fitness classes in this episode of Fitness over Forty.
