Medieval Themed “Lady Of Shalott” Junk Journal.
This is a handmade Medieval themed Junk Journal that is based on the Poem “The Lady of Shalott” by Alfred Lord Tennyson. The entire poem is displayed in order throughout the journal. There are various artists that painted pictures about this poem and their names are included with the year they were painted.
This hard cover journal measures 5.5” x 8.5”. It has a 1.5” hidden spine, 4 signatures are sewn in using a 3-hole pamphlet stitch. It has approximately 60 pages with many pockets, journaling cards, and tuck spots. Other elements in the journal include, eco dyed paper, coffee dyed paper, velum, mulberry paper, wax paper, tissue, tulle, ribbons (sari silk and seam binding), fabric trims, lace, tarot cards, charms, beads, gems, tassels, appliques, die cuts, fussy cut, sewing throughout and embossing.
Included with this journal is a decorated envelope filled with bits of fabrics, trims, and paper. Also included is a large scroll that’s attached to a brass removable bookmarker.
