Ice Age: The Multiverse Of Glaciers (2026) – A D23 Expo 2019 Teaser Annoucement Trailer (Lost Media)

In April 2019 during Disney’s acquisition of 21st Century Fox, Chris Wedge stated that the sixth installment of the Ice Age franchise is scheduled for release tentatively on July 15, 2022 and is intended to be the final film in the franchise. The title will be revealed is “Ice Age: The Final Chapter” at the same year. In August 2019 on the D23 Expo, the title revealed would be shown in the announcement trailer after production of the sixth film. The teaser trailer consists of a blizzard raging through the cold snowy hill while Scrat’s acorn is seen in the snow and the sad lullaby-like music from “Ice Age: The Meltdown” was playing in the background. On November 2019 during in the D23 Expo Brazil, Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, Denis Leary and the rest of the cast will return to the sixth film and the plot will be revealed. But as of 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, Disney changed the plot of the sixth film in the vein of “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” with the time travel movies elements. After the closure of Blue Sky Studios (who turned into Glitch Productions) in 2021, Disney CEO Bob Iger stated that the project was scrapped in favor of the final Blue Sky Studios film “Alvin and the Chipmunks” (2020) and the announcement of “The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild.” Carlos Saldanha wants to change the plot of the sixth film will be added Mimi-Sentry and the new villains of the film in 2021. In 2022, “The Angry Birds Movie” veterans Clay Kaytis and Fergal Reilly is set to direct the sixth film in the franchise and the title will change into “Ice Age: The Multiverse of Glaciers.” The release date was scheduled for July 23, 2026 in the Twitter (now X) announcement on February 23, 2023.
