Now that we addressed that, let’s get into this budget friendly recipe.
Ingredients:
Half a box of spaghetti
Ground mild Italian sausage
Cherry tomatoes
Half an onion
Minced Garlic
Diced Green Pepper
Fresh Basil & Oregano
Seasoning mix About 2/3 teaspoon of each
Chicken bouliion
Thyme
Italian Seasoning
Garlic & Onion Powder
Salt & Pepper To taste
*Add crushed red peppers for a kick
♦️STEPS♦️
1. Boil water, add chicken seasoning, then cook pasta until desired tenderness. Reserve 1/3 cup of pasta water.
2. In a food processor, combine olive oil, basil, oregano, and cherry tomatoes. Pulse until coarsely chopped.
3. In a pan, cook ground sausage until browned. Set aside.
4. In the same pan, sauté onion, green pepper, and garlic until aromatic. Be cautious not to burn garlic. Add tomato mixture and simmer uncovered for 2 minutes. Stir in seasonings and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
5. Add cooked sausage, noodles, and reserved pasta water to the pan. Cook covered for 1 minute.
6. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes to taste. Serve and enjoy!
